GodzKidz Sunday Morning Service
GodZ KidZ Kids Church.. Each week after a time of worship with their parents in the church sanctuary, kids grades 1 - 6 are dismissed to go to a special Kids Church just for them.
Opening - As the kids enter the "Kids Ministry Building" they are welcomed by music and a greeter their age.
Worship - A few worship songs are led by Kids worship team. Announcements and birthdays are the next item to be taken care of. A birthday box is thoroughly searched for their choice of gift.
Welcoming of Guests - Visitors are given a welcome packet consisting of a booklet with a crossword puzzle and word-find or pictures to color that can be returned sometime in the future for a prize. There is also a super ball, balloon, sucker, choice of two more prizes, and a can of pop. They then get one shot at a basketball hoop to see it they can win a jug of pop. One of the kids ministry team leaders takes attendance, visitor information, and fills out a welcome postcard to be mailed to the visitor that week.
Bible Sword Drill - Each week the kids are asked to look up the topic verse of the day in their Bible. Extra Bibles are provided for those who forget. They all receive a treat for bringing their Bible. The first to find the verse receives a prize. Often creative memory methods are used to help the kids memorize the verse such as popping balloons to get a word from the verse and then lining up in the correct word order.
The Main Lesson - The main lesson is taught using a variety of learning methods and styles often with help from individuals from the ministry team. Science object lessons, clowns, puppets, ventriloquism, readers theater, drama, chalk art, special guests, object lessons, and gospel magic are frequently used.
Prayer time - The kids gather together to pray for each others needs (sometimes puppies and pets).
Secret Seat - A secret seat is picked for both the boys and girls and then given a prize. If time remains then a group Bible game is played.
